DosePen ("the App") is provided by Xadrez Inverso LDA, operating as FATFIRE Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
The App is designed with a local-first philosophy. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a backend server. The vast majority of your data never leaves your device.
The following data is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults) and is never transmitted to us:
This data is deleted when you uninstall the App.
We generate an anonymous identifier using Apple's Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) or a random UUID if IDFV is unavailable. This identifier contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to manage your purchase and associate anonymous analytics events. It is stored in your device's Keychain.
The App uses the following third-party services, each of which may receive limited, anonymous data:
We do not collect or access: your name, email address, or any account credentials; your location; your photos, camera, or microphone; health data (HealthKit); advertising identifiers (IDFA); or any data from other apps on your device.
The App may request permission to send local notifications as medication and injection reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external push notification server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
Local data: stored on your device until you uninstall the App. Keychain data (anonymous identifier) may persist after uninstallation but contains no personal information.
Third-party data: retained according to each service's own data retention policies. You may contact us to request deletion of your anonymous data from third-party services.
This app is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at fatacquire@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the App. If you wish to request deletion of your anonymous identifier from our third-party analytics and crash reporting services, please contact us at fatacquire@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Your data is protected by Apple's built-in device security, including file-system encryption and Keychain encryption. All network communication with third-party services uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website. The effective date at the top of this document indicates when the policy was last revised.
